arts use facilities

Katherine worked in team with Arts Habitat Edmonton, community stakeholders & the City to coordinate the development of multi-purpose arts space facilities for Edmonton: Old Cycle Building, ArtsCommon 118 & Artists Quarters. (Project Coordinator with AHE)

way-finding design

Katherine worked with private & public sectors to design site specific "art elements" that function as integrated way-finding or place-making devises. Examples below: 'Chrysalis', Sun Sui Wan Restaurant for Bing Thom Architects; 'Bell Tower', Christ Church Cathedral for Busby Bridger Architects; 'Streams of Consciousness' for City of North Vancouver; 'Iceberg', Santigo International Airport for Architectura.

place-centred art

Katherine has developed public art through art plans, programs & individual projects that connect people who pass through to the specifics of a place. Examples below: 'Anthology', SW Seattle Library, Olson Kundig Architects + Seattle Public Art Commission; 'Witness", City of North Vancouver; 'sq'ac ways', & 'Inhale', Vancouver Millenium LRT line; 'Linqua Aqua' (artists Melanie Cassidy, Michael Filimowicz, Brady Marks, Philippe Pasquier), City of Surrey.  Commissioned by the City of Edmonton & the Edmonton Arts Council: WALKWAYS', (artist Derek Besant); '53o20-40'N' (artist & image Thorsten Goldberg); 'Resonate Progressions' (artist Royden Mills - photo MVHoy).
